Designed in tribute to the club’s storied past and innovative present, an elegant tonal pattern nods to AIK’s current home at the Nationalarenan, while the original dark blue and gold colours and first 1891 crest – both found in AIK’s five-year report of 1896 – pay respect to AIK’s history. The distinctive lace-up collar evokes images of a memorable 1999 Champions League campaign, a lion design at the back neck draws from Stockholm’s coat of arms, and “Biblioteksgatan 8” lettering commemorates the address of AIK’s founding to highlight the journey from a small public sports club to a global football icon.
